New EP 'Post Atomic Children 4th april'

Hello,

We where well on our way with the recordings of our next album when during several backstage waiting/drinking sessions the idea emerged of releasing a split EP on vinyl with music buddies Flying Fortress.

After some talks about what we should put on this EP.....
We agreed on writing new material and to record it with a live feel.
The result is a 30 minute EP, called, Post Atomic Children.

Flying Fortress had allready finished recording their part when we started the process of writing new material and recording it. This gave us a few weeks to think about what the end 'product' should be. 1 lp, 10 inch, 12 inch etc. We ended up with a double 12 inch LP that also includes, both the bands album on CD in a limited edition of 500 copies . This all wrapped up in a beautifull gatefold sleeve.

The double split LP will be available on the 4th April.
It will be released by SpaceJam Records and distributed by Suburban.

Yes, I saw them.
It was on December 21st I think, in this cursed concert room that we only whisper the name cross signing... La Scene Bastille.

God damn, this story is so unbelievable that i hardly can believe it myself! Somehow, I did not dream, i'm sure I did not dream...
I'm telling you, I saw them...
I saw them like I see you. But hell, how will I describe you this improbable human beings, with names you can hardly pronounce (like Tsjalke the bassiste), able to turn a concert lounge into a bar from Nimes on a feria day?
How will I give you a general idea, even close, of what they can produce in terms of scenical prestation? How can I give back with a little faithfulness their totally out of commun hypnotical potential.

Because these boys are capturing you, are aspirating you slowly, slowly, patiently. When they unroll their maleficient set, you little by little forget your own self.
The atypical rythms like in Amused (the master piece) are taking place in your intimate cadencies, are inviting themselves in you, take possession of you and only go out for the next one. You belong to them.
And don't ever imagine, you that have listen to Digitally Passed On, and founded well some prog-rock accents that you will assist to a gig of smart and indifferent people, enjoying their knowledge and stuck into autistic musicians structures.
No, and No again. You will find the songs you loved (Amused, Scrambler, Past Verb) with a rage and an energy you couldn't even think about from them.
You will see Rock.

You will see Tsjalke (how does this animal do everything he does on stage?) with fired hair, giving you the roundness and power under your feet and to your chest , with his bass directly coming out of hell.
You will also see, if you have time, Johan, but you will only be able to see his hands armed with speed drumsticks like fairies, executing in their cymbals forest a mysterious sabbat.
And you'll look at this one, Erik, the eyes almost closed, ventilates his magical arpeggio with the metronome inflexible way. You'll look at him and wonder if it's really from his fingers that these flexible and aerial, languorous and penetrating licks emerge. Hypnotical snakes are coming out of these hands.
And you'll look a lot at this Ralph, the singer, the master wizard. You'll see how he disappears in the cigarettes smoke (that they smoke cheerfully on stage), the electrical flashes, the coloured stratches, to reappear in front of his mic with a powerfull line, or in front of his piano for a sudden enchanting ballad. You will see how he can take you wherever he wants, whenever he wants with this kinky spark in his eyes, the madness spark (the genious spark maybe??)..

You think i'm too flattering, he? You think i'm doing too much? Whatever..
Me and the others, we saw. We saw and we keep in ourselves the magical of the December 21st gig.
And one thing is for sure, if you are lucky enought to be able to see them in France, Do not hesitate. Go there, run, be there and you will see
You will see the wizards, there is no other word. You will see Sweet Assembler, and you won't be able to get it over.
I'm telling you, i saw them....

On the 21st of december we went back to paris to do a show in the beautifull La Scene Bastille, Together with Generale Purpose and Pamela Hute.

A bottle of vodka was given to us by The keyboard/synth player of Pamela Hute. Because of the paris traffic jams we got in pretty late and did not have time to eat before the concert. This ment we could fully experience the effects of Vodka and beers on an empty stomach.

Last friday we played a gig at Club Winston Amsterdam together with our Den Bosch rocker friends Flying Fortress. For both bands it was the first show after the summer holidays.
We would like to thank Thijs for playing that wonderfull song by B.Spears....an inspiration to all of us, hit me baby 1 more time....

Last weekend we played at the Edit Festival In Eindhoven and got totaly wasted after playing a set with lots of new material. It was actually our last gig and now its only recording and finishing the album. So we had something to celebrate ;).

Final Passenger tour performance in Belgium

On monday the 7th of may we played The Passenger at CC Hasselt in Belgium.It was Sold out and the theater was beautifull. This was the final show of the regular tour for 2007. In september united-c will organise the lust for life festival and the Passenger will be performed there.

Bad Day & We are sorry

Today we were heading out to Belgium to play a gig at the Bierpompe, a place we have good memories of. Our good buddybandbus that we love dearly really let us down today.Suddenly there was a flashing red light on our dashboard. We stopped to find out what was going on and found out that the radiator was leaking. So we called in a mechanic. He could only solve the problem temporarily by using tape and advised us to not drive 200 km.

For all those who expected us to play, we are very sorry and we will make it up to you as soon as possible.

Yesterday we played at Altstadt Eindhoven together with the friendly gents of Alamo Race Track. It was our first show after our theater tour adventure. We tried out some new material and played some extended versions of older work.

The Passenger - Plaza Futura Eindhoven

On the 31 of march we performed The Passenger in a sold out Plaza Futura. I think it was one of the best we did.
In May we will play in Belgium and that will be the final show of the tour.
Other opportunities to see the show will be at the lust for life festival.

In the past year we invested our earnings in the studio. At first we only wanted a rehearsel space where we could record all our new stuff on 16 track to make preproductions.
But after a while we all felt unhappy with the thought of going into the studio and trying to capture the good vibe with a limited budget. We dont wanna have time on our minds.
So we decided to invest some more and record it ourselves.
